White Vinyl
Designed to quiet noisy areas onboard. It is especially effective at deadening sound from engines and generators. Also can be used in air duct- ing systems and as a carpet underlayment (UL-25). Whispermat is constructed by sandwiching a flexible vinyl sound barrier between two layers of sound absorbing foam. The side facing the noise is faced with either a metalized mylar or a white vinyl facing. It will not rot or mildew, is tear resistant and is self-extinguishing (meeting fire requirements of UL-94HF-1). INSTALLATION TIPS: Installed with contact adhesives, battens, stick- clips or screw and fender washers. WM2-16-0.25A-RP-00 is a one pound per square foot vinyl barrier between two layers of 1/4" foam, faced with reinforced metalized mylar. Weight: 9.25 pounds. WM2-16-0.75E-RP-00 is a one pound per square foot vinyl barrier between one layer of 1/4" foam and a layer of 3/4" foam, faced with reinforced metalized mylar. This is the standard for lining engine rooms, engine hatches and gen- erator compartments. Weight: 9.6 pounds. WM-MBW1 is one pound per square foot vinyl barrier bonded to 1" of foam. The white vinyl facing is designed for easy cleaning and is extremely tear resistant. This is perfect for large yacht engine rooms and machinery spaces. Weight: 12 pounds. Splicing tape comes in WHITE. Used to splice and seal seams, penetrations and openings. SC are stickclips which are used with white buttons (INCLUDED with stickclips) to hold insulation in place.

Vinyl insulation SDN
Polyether formulation that will outlast inferior polyester foams available on the market today. This polyether foam provides the highest level of hydrolytic stability in the harsh marine environment, as the dampness found in the marine environment will promote polyester foam disinte- gration drastically reducing the life of the foam. Acoustic insulation materials work by two processes: Absorption of sound energy, which dissipates sound as heat energy, and reflection, which reflects noise away from a location where quieting is desired.
