  Lewis Marine Supply, Inc. sells its products and provides service to its approved customers through a “Trade Account”. Trade Accounts are available to the following trade classes:

*Note: Independent operators must have a bona-fide place of business and address. Wholesale trade recognition will be determined by a full explanation of your type and place of business. All accounts are subject to application approval by us and are subject to our right to refuse an account application or to approve same, subject to limitations.

ACCOUNTS [TOP]
All Accounts must be approved after written application on a company account application form.
PRICES [TOP]
ALL prices in our catalog are subject to change without notice and are F.O.B. warehouse unless quoted otherwise.
ORDERS [TOP]
Unless otherwise specified, all items not shipped are considered cancelled. There is a minimum of $5.00 Net billing per invoice. Driver's License is required on all counter sales.
PHONE, FAX, INTERNET, E-MAIL AND REGULAR MAIL ORDERS [TOP]
Our first concern is to fill orders accurately and quickly. To help us attain this, we ask your cooperation in using our catalog to express quantity, figure number, manufacturers number, finish, size, voltage, color, etc.
SPECIAL ORDERS [TOP]
We are happy to place special orders as needed when customers require part numbers that we do not stock. If these parts are needed in a hurry and cannot be included with our factory stock orders, the customer will be expected to pay the additional charges incurred, such as phone, freight, or drop ship charges. There will be a 50% deposit required on all special orders.
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS [TOP]
Customers should send specific shipping instructions. If this is not done, we will use our own judgment in selecting route. Please refer to the following page for information when ordering.
Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods    [TOP]
May be subject to packing and shipping surcharges.
RETURNED GOODS POLICY [TOP]
  • Goods shall not be returned to us without a return merchandise authorization
    number. Phone for number prior to shipping. Goods returned without authorization
    will be returned at expense of the customer.
  • A copy of invoice must accompany all returns.
  • Goods returned incomplete or in boxes other than original may not be eligible
    for full credit. Credit will be issued only upon inspection of returned goods' condition.
  • Special orders (non-stocked items) and material made to order or cut to length
    will not be accepted for credit.
  • Goods returned after thirty (30) days will incur a 10% handling and
    restocking charge.
  • No material will be accepted after sixty (60) days.
  • Shipping charges must be prepaid.

Questions regarding returns or credits should be directed to the Customer Service Manager.

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT [TOP]
Our packing is expertly done with consideration given to type of article and carrier. Should damage occur, please note the details on freight bill and immediately file proper claim with transportation company. Damage
in transit is the responsibility of the carrier. Claims filed against the carrier are the responsibility of the customer.
SHORTAGES [TOP]
Any errors in shipment must be reported within ten (10) days of receipt of goods.
WARRANTY [TOP]
  • We are an authorized distributor for nationally recognized manufacturers producing goods for the marine industry. Many of the products distributed by our company are warrantied by the manufacturer.A copy of each manufacturer's warranty is available upon request.

  • As a distributor, we assume no liability for the use of any item not of our manufacture, and offer no warranty, either expressed or implied, for such products.

  • If failure of a product purchased through our company occurs during a manufacturer's warranty period, a claim for adjustment may be submitted directly to the manufacturer, or our company will assist on submitting such claims through our Customer Service Office.

  • Products sent to our company for warranty consideration are accepted only under the conditions stated in the manufacturer's policies. Please note that acceptance of such items by our company for submission to the manufacturer does not imply validity toany claim. All decisions regarding the repair or replacement of any items are the sole responsibility of the manufacturer.

  • Under no conditions are we as a distributor, authorized to replace a defective item prior to submitting such item to the manufacturer.

SHIPPING AND FREIGHT INFORMATION

Lewis Marine Supply ships stock and non-stock items in a variety of ways, on land, sea and in the air all subject, of course, to compliance with existing national and international regulations (especially where the transport of hazardous materials is concerned).

Employees of our various shipping departments have been trained, certified and are subject to continuous education to keep updated on the latest in national and international regulations.

Local shipping, on a daily basis, is accomplished by our fleet of vans to various geographical points emanating from the central location of our store. Special deliveries are also accommodated via request and individual customer arrangements.

Efficient and economical routing of your orders are a priority in our delivery services. We strive to accomplish all shipments the most practical way. Among our shipping options:

A.  PARCEL POST — both national and international  [TOP]
  • Maximum weight per package — 70 pounds.
  • Maximum size per package —108 inches length and girth
B. TRUCK — Both interstate and intrastate featuring no weight or size limit
C.  BUS (Greyhound/Trailways) [TOP]
  • Maximum weight per package — 100 pounds.
  • Maximum packages per Bus Bill — 3 in-state; 1 out of state
  • Maximum size per package — 6 ft.
  • No hazardous materials may be shipped by bus.
D.  OCEAN FREIGHT [TOP]
  • Subject to United States Coast Guard regulations
  • Subject to International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (I.M.D.G.C.) Subject to International Regulations and specifics of International treaties and the governing regulations of various territorial waters.
E.  AIR FREIGHT [TOP]
  • Subject to regulations of the International Air Transport Association (I.A.T.A.)
  • Subject to Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations for domestic shipments as outlined on 49 C.F.R. (Code of Federal Regulations)


(Note: For Ocean and Air Shipments all documentation and billing is in accordance with customs requirements.  Confirmation, commercial invoices, bill of lading, air waybill and other shipping information is expertly documented.  Please notify us for further information.)

F.  UPS (United Parcel Service) [TOP]
  • Hazardous materials and Dangerous goods are subject to packing and shipping surcharges.
  • Maximum weight per package — 150 pounds
  • Maximum length per package — 9 feet
  • Maximum size per package — up to 130 inches in combined length and girth. All UPS air packages over 1 (one) cubic foot in length and girth are subject to Dimensional Weight freight charges as opposed to actual weight — whichever is greater.

  • Similar to UPS services with variances in freight rates and some regulations
  • Services and regulations are subject to change depending on nature of shipment.

    2 Standard Overnight — (3:00 p.m.)

  • Emergency shipment via FEDEX, DHL or UPS. Overnight service available to many countries.
  • Personalized bilingual salespersons to assist you in determining your technical requirements.
  • No charge for export packaging. 
  • All documentation prepared in accordance with your customs regulations. 
  • American Express, Mastercard and Visa accepted in order to expedite your international requests. Timely arrival of all orders shipped via air and sea freight. 
  • Proforma invoices available the same day requested. 
  • Many orders shipped the same day received. 
  • We are certified shippers of hazardous materials such as paint, resin, cleaning materials and fire extinguishers. Proper packaging and labeling ensures your orders will be transported by the carrier of your choice.
